Join us for a family event in Anchorage Alaska, for food, fun, fashion & art to be held at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium at the UAA campus on Nov 7 2015 - starting at 4pm! Vendor areas in the lobby will open to all starting at 2pm. The show kicks off with a documentary presentation on extreme poverty & political unrest in Africa, and the causes that "Learning Tree of Niger" will be supporting from the proceeds. We will feature a fashion show of traditional to couture clothing items from the region, and more! With a children's dance performance! During an intermission, attendees will get to enjoy the flavors of traditional cuisine prepared by local caterers and chefs, while previewing auction items. Then we will commence with cultural music & dance, and some local entertainment - followed by the auction. This is an all ages show, there will be no nudity during the fashion event. Attendees are expected to be respectful of children and families as well as other cultures. After all, it is about bringing peace and sustainable living to other parts of the world.
Learning Tree Of Niger is a 501c non-profit organization with a focus on education. We believe that children hold the power to the future of this world, that change can be made through knowledge, education - all it takes is just ONE child to make a stand! With your help, we can be the 'Hand Up' needed in areas where children are still sold into marriages & prostitution, forced to work to support their families, or have zero means to a quality education. Starvation and unsanitary conditions claim the lives of these children everyday. Any ONE of them could be the one to take a stand, to make a difference. You can help by simply purchasing a ticket, or t-shirt (found here https://teespring.com/LearningTree) or go to our website (learningtreeofniger.org) and place a small donation. Come to the show for the education and experience the cultural extravaganza, you'll have fun & do some good at the same time!
If you want to volunteer, lease a vendors booth, or provide sponsorship . . . you can get more information here; http://gworksmediaproductions.businesscatalyst.com/safari-on-the-rise.html
