ACES Vermicast Tour

Join us for this event to learn more about Vermicast production and its use as a soil amendment. Bring questions and come ready to enjoy in-depth conversations from curious and experienced producers! We will cover how to create your own vermicast, where to source it for purchase, testing vermicast / compost for biological and mineral levels, and creating custom compost teas and biological brews to improve soil health. Anyone is welcome on this tour and we will coordinate a carpool from the Winnett NRCS on Friday September 8th at 8AM. If you do not want to join for the entire day - please specify in the type of ticket you select - Full day or partial day. If you plan to come for the full day please designate if you would like to offer your vehicle for carpool or if you would prefer to request a seat. This will be a long day of driving but is a great opportunity to connect with other like minded producers and specialists on the ride. Beverages will be provided and we will stop at Back Porch BBQ in Roundup for lunch (pack snacks if you want them!). 

Schedule: 

8AM - Meet at NRCS Office (Leave by 8:15, 813 N Broadway Avenue, Winnett MT)
--> 1 hour 15 minute drive 

9:30-11:15 - Tour at Steve Charter's (13838 Hwy 87 N Shepherd, MT between mile marker 20 and 19)
--> 45 minute drive 

12:00-1:00 - Lunch at Back Porch BBQ in Roundup (101 Main St, Roundup, MT 59072)
--> 1 Hour 20 minute drive

2:30-4:00: Tour at Shane Moe's (2 Moe Lane, Two Dot, MT  Turn on Selkirk Road)
--> 2 Hour Drive 

6:00: Return to Winnett
