The Lake Parsippany Sailing Club (LPSC) is hosting the annual Safety and Sailing training class on Saturday June 18. This class is mandatory for anyone who wishes to use the LPSC boats.
Registration is required. No Walk-ins are accepted.
This class is available to all members of the LPPOA; property owners and non-property owners, residents and non-residents.
Minimum Age: Members of the LPSC must be 11 years old as of May 1, 2022.
Premium Members Admission is $15 Per Person online or at the door. (Note that all Non-Property Owners are Premium members)
Basic Members Admission is $25 Per Person online or at the door. (Note that only Property Owners in the LPPOA have the option to be Basic)
This class is required even if you are already a good sailor. You will learn how the LPSC maintains equipment in the Boat House - a facility that is shared by multiple clubs of the LPPOA. You will learn safety procedures and protocols, basic sailing technique and the "No Sail" zones of Lake Parsippany. You will be taught how to properly care for the LPSC equipment: where to find it and how to store it so that the next person can find it. You will be taught how to setup a Sunfish (how to Rig the boat) and how to breakdown a Sunfish. First time sailors will be taken out with a teacher to have a hands on - one on one lesson in basic sailing.
Notes for the class:
Bring LPPOA ID (if available) and Personal ID (required for anyone over 18 years old)

Bring Sun block
Bring Water Shoes (No Open Toed shoes, shoes must be fully covering your toes)
Bring Lunch
Bring Water / Beverage
Bring a Towel
Bring Sunglasses (recommend you have a Lanyard, Strap or similar to keep from losing your glasses)
Non-Members and unregistered attendees are not permitted and will be asked to leave.
DO NOT BRING non-student children. They will be asked to leave.
