An evening of great bluegrass music featuring Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road and Ralph Stanley & The Cinch Mountain Boys as well as a special appearance & talk by Eustace Conway, star of the History Channels's Mountain Man TV Series. All proceeds will benefit Turtle Island Preserve, a nonprofit outdoor education center located in Boone, NC.
Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road have combined masterful musicianship and a creative sound to entertain audiences in 46 states and 13 countries world wide. Along the way, they have scored countless hits, received industry accolades and created collaborations with an array of legendary artists. The band ha played some of the biggest stages such as the Grand Ole Opry. They have achieved FIVE no 1 hits on the National Bluegrass chart.
Grammy Award winning artist Ralph Stanley II & The Clinch Mountain Boys are currently touring across the country and internationally. Son of the legendary Dr. Ralph Stanley, he has proven to be an accomplished songwriter and has 6 solo albums under his belt, with SEVEN no 1 hits in his career.
Eustace Conway is a unique naturalist. He has lived in the woods for over forty years, building a complete historically accurate farmstead with hand crafted log buildings using only materials harvested from the land....that is now Turtle Island Preserve, home to summer camps for kids and workshops for adults teaching the traditional earth skills of our ancestors. He is the subject of Liz Gilberts best selling book, "The Last American Man" and star of the History channels's hit TV series, Mountain Man.
